"I have rentals with dryer ductwork and Jack took care of the filthy piping leading up through wooden roof trusses: you wouldn't believe what came out and could've been a fire hazard due to gas dryers! He arrived quickly, gave an honest and fair estimate and cleaned everything thoroughly, and replaced all roof caps and interiors / machines and inside attached ductwork too. Even if you clean the lint trap the fine particulate lint DOES build up, and can become a fire hazard and also slowly can block the exhaust to the outside, IF GAS DRYER I was fearful of Carbon Monoxide build up as well, because the burner exhausts also to the outside through the same tube!!! THANKS CHIMNEY CRICKET AND JACK!"

"I was just bought a house and my damper would not open. I received bids from several companies between $300 - $500 dollars to fix the problem. The technician that came out was very experienced and knew how to fix the problem right away. It turns out it was a simple fix. The technician removed an old rusted bolt and replaced it with a new one. My estimated costly fix was less than $90 dollars. The technician was on time, great service, and a very honest price. It's hard to find companies that are honest these days and don't try to take all your money. Chimney Cricket was awesome and I would refer them to anyone needing assistance with their fireplace."

"We heard noises in our chimney and called Jack at Chimney Cricket. His attitude on the telephone was upbeat, positive, and professional and I felt very comfortable agreeing to his fee to check out the 'critter' in the chimney. Shortly after he arrived - on time, with a confirming phone call ahead of time - he spread out his canvas at the hearth and headed for the roof. Within a few minutes the animal sound stopped and I asked what the problem was. That's when he handed me two eyes-closed kittens and mentioned that mama cat had set up residence inside the loose chimney cap we'd been meaning to do something about. "If you don't want to keep and care for the kittens or wait for the mother to come around, I'll be happy to raise them myself," he said. Not 'call the pound' or 'find a burlap sack and some rocks', mind you but instead a very human response. We made a deal, he got his pick of that 'litter' and we kept the other kitten - who is now thriving and happy in our (well heated) home. If ya gotta get chimney work done, call the Cricket. He's good, prices are right, and he likes cats."
